My Lab focuses on the broad field of bioinspired inorganic chemistry relevant to biological and environmental processes, mainly involving in the first-row transition metal complexes. The core activities lie on both structural and mechanistic elucidation of biomimetic complexes as well as their fundamental reactivity studies. We are actively pursuing:

(a) the design and synthesis of biomimetic complexes

(b) the development of catalysts related to energy and environmental processes

(c) the elucidation of the role of metals in human disease especially cancers

(d) the identification and understanding of the effect of natural products in oriental medicine.
